Join Digital Impact as we kick off the new year with a virtual roundtable of experts to identify key trends and share predictions for 2019, including insights from Philanthropy and Digital Civil Society: Blueprint 2019, Lucy Bernholz’s annual industry forecast.
Panelists will explore emerging developments in philanthropy, technology, data governance, public policy, and more as they share and discuss their personal predictions on what the coming year holds for civil society around the globe.
Attendees will be invited to weigh in on panelist predictions and share their own thoughts and foresights on where civil society is headed in 2019.
Lucy Bernholz, Director of the Digital Civil Society Lab, will host a live discussion with:
- David Callahan, Founder and Editor of Inside Philanthropy;
- Trista Harris, Philanthropic Futurist and President of FutureGood;
- Gene Takagi, Managing Attorney of NEO Law Group and Contributing Publisher of the Nonprofit Law Blog; and
- María Catalina Villalpando Paez, Mexico Partnerships Consultant for GlobalGiving.
Our panel will discuss the changing nature of civil society association and action in the digital age, challenge some common assumptions and practices around nonprofits and technology, and highlight opportunities for the sector to lead in important new ways in 2019.
From nonprofits and foundations to activists, NGOs, and civil society leaders, the panel will survey the landscape for pathways and pitfalls ahead.
