Here’s How One Nonprofit Is Preparing for GDPR

The Engine Room’s Zara Rahman describes GDPR as “a promising step in the direction of taking a rights-based approach to working with data.” In a recent blog post, Rahman looks at GDPR preparation as a “spring cleaning” exercise, suggesting ways nonprofits can track their internal GDPR-related activities, and sharing examples of what to expect from constituents deciding to exercise their right to erasure (also known as ‘the right to be forgotten’).

Rahman joined Digital Civil Society Lab Director Lucy Bernholz and panel of experts in March to discuss responsible data practice, power, and the role of data and ethics in the tech for social good space.
